Villa Struka is a cozy and well-equipped vacation rental right on the riverbank in Pyhtää, just about 110 km from Helsinki. This year-round rental villa is perfect for family vacations as well as corporate meetings and team-building retreats. Amenities include a riverside sauna, hot tub, gazebo with a grill, fire pit, rowboat, and swimming dock. Evening gatherings are livened up by the indoor pool table, which offers entertainment in any weather.

Struka Log Cabin – vacations, meetings, and celebrations in the tranquility of nature
The spacious and bright Struka Log Cabin in Southern Finland offers a magnificent setting for corporate meetings, team-building days, or larger celebrations in the tranquility of nature. The cabin is located on the banks of a quiet river in lush surroundings, and its amenities ensure successful meetings and a memorable leisure experience. Rent the cabin for a weekend or a full week and enjoy the space, tranquility, and your own private beach.
Upon arrival, you can bring your own linens and towels or easily reserve them through us. Upon departure, the property must be cleaned either by yourself or by booking through us.

Hot tub and riverside sauna
Located on the riverbank is a wood-fired hot tub suitable for about 6 people. You can enjoy the warm water of the hot tub even in the middle of winter. In the summer, the sunshine, birdsong, and the peaceful flow of the river make soaking in the hot tub a particularly memorable experience.
In addition to the cottage sauna, Strukka has a large riverside sauna on the riverbank, which can be rented for an additional fee of €45/day. The riverside sauna’s terrace has direct access to the dock and swimming steps leading into the water. There is also a small cove on the shore suitable for children to wade in.
The cottage offers opportunities for boating and fishing: a rowboat is included in the rental. The gently flowing river is perfect for rowing, and Strukka’s manually operated lock provides access to the sea. Additional information and instructions for using the lock.
🌿 Outdoor areas and activities
The Struka rental cottage is located in a peaceful spot on the banks of the Kymijoki River, surrounded by lush nature. The cottage is surrounded by a sunny lawn with plenty of space for relaxing, barbecuing, and spending time together. The yard features a glass-enclosed gazebo, garden furniture, and a gas grill, making outdoor dining and evening gatherings enjoyable regardless of the weather.

Boating and fishing: A rowboat is included in the rental.
Two docks: At the end of the swimming dock, there are swimming steps, and the water depth is about 2 meters. However, there are rocks in the river—please do not jump in!
🐾 Bringing pet to the cottage
If you wish, you can bring a pet to the cottage. You must always mention your pet when making a reservation. A pet fee applies, which is usually 10 euros per day per pet. If you have severe allergies, you can check with our customer service to find out when pets were last at the cottage. The cottage is suitable for year-round use
The Struka log cabin is perfect for vacations in all seasons. The river often stays open until December, so you can enjoy the warmth of the hot tub and the refreshing river water, or in January, cut a hole in the ice at the end of the dock. An ice pick is available in the garage or storage shed.
Nature and history in the vicinity of the Struka cottage
The Struka rental cottage is situated peacefully on the banks of the Kymijoki River, with only the Kivikoski cottage and a spruce grove as neighbors, out of sight from the yard. Nearby are Finland’s only manually operated sea locks, dating from 1903, which offer historical experiences and beautiful scenery for boaters and canoeists. A short drive away, you can explore the attractions of the Kotka Maritime Center Wellamo and Maretarium.
