Kaunisvirta Floating Sauna
Experience an authentic Finnish sauna at the Kaunisvirta floating sauna! This small floating sauna by the river is a traditional, wood-heated sauna that offers a calming experience in the heart of nature—right where the rush of everyday life fades away and the mind can rest. After the sauna, you can take a dip directly into the refreshing river or sit on the pier and listen to the sounds of nature.
The floating sauna is intentionally simple and atmospheric. There is no electricity or running water. The ambience is created by dim light and silence—a perfect counterbalance to the noise of everyday life.
Next to the sauna on the riverbank, there is a campfire site where you can grill sausages or simply enjoy the soothing sight of an open fire in nature. In addition, there is a riverside pavilion equipped with mosquito nets, providing shelter from both the sun and insects. Next to the pavilion, there is a small outdoor seating area—an excellent spot for socializing, outdoor dining, or enjoying an evening tea while admiring the river landscape.
At the Kaunisvirta main cottage, you will find shower facilities, and next to it there is a separate sauna cabin with a wood-heated sauna as well.
